This week I've been working on a bonus course for those who signed up for my main program, Alter Almost Anything which ran for the first time earlier this year. Alter Almost Anything is not currently open for enrollment, but I was thinking that maybe there are some folks reading this who would be interested in this smaller course about getting started making pattern and fitting adjustments to fit your body.
I'm about halfway through making this smaller course about using sewing patterns. It would elaborate on the themes in the blog posts above. If this sounds interesting to you, keep your eyes open for an email in a few days time where I'll be sending more details about what I'm working on, and more importantly, how it might help you.
Until next time, happy sewing.
Elise

I see folks who have sewn with nothing but woven fabric get intimidated with sewing knits, so I wrote a new article...

But something that I see people miss when they sew from patterns or alter clothes they alrady have are the importance of vertical measuements in clothing fit. We covered this in detail in the course Alter Almost Anything, but I thought I would write a quick blog post about it too....
Dear Reader, There is a lot to learn when you start to sew. I usually recommend to folks who are starting to sew to work on one new technique at a time. Start basic and slowly add things like zippers, pockets, collars, etc. I've noticed people making a lot of the same beginner mistakes over and over again, so I thought I'd write a post about it to help. After all, you don't know what you don't know! Read "Top 9 Sewing Mistakes Beginners Make" Sometimes it just takes one little tweak to help...
